Passive House Planning Package – a tried and tested planning tool
The PHPP based on Excel was introduced for the first time in 1998 and has been continually further developed ever since. Calculation sheets for space heating balances (annual and monthly methods), and for heat distribution and supply as well as for the electricity and primary energy demand, constitute the main features of this tool. Essential modules were successively supplemented for the practical planning of energy efficiency projects throughout the world, including the calculation of characteristic values of windows, shading, heating load and summer behaviour, cooling and dehumidification demand, ventilation for large objects and non-residential buildings, taking into account of renewable energy sources, and EnerPHit certification (retrofitting of existing buildings). The PHPP is continually being validated and extended on the basis of measured values and new research findings.

DesignPH 2.0 PRO
designPH, a plugin for the 3D design software SketchUp, has been developed by the Passive House Institute to provide a 3D modelling interface that works together with PHPP (Passive House Planning Package). The plugin provides an automatic analysis algorithm which can infer element types and area groups. After importing a model to PHPP, the primary inputs on the Areas, Windows & Shading sheets will be mostly complete. This enables a result for specific space heat demand to be calculated quickly using default values, potentially saving significant time. designPH also provides a preliminary simplified energy balance when the analysis process runs. This allows you to refine the design before exporting, facilitating a more effective iterative design process, and rule out poorly performing design options early on.

flixo
Flixo is a software suitable for thermal bridges analysis and report. It is reliable and validated according to the standards EN ISO 10211 και EN ISO 10077-2. It offers quick results thanks to its usability and multiple tools. Flixo offers the possibility of automatically generated and individually designed reports.
You can identify the suitable version for your needs below:
- flixo pro
Suitable for building physicists, professionals in facades, windows and architectural constructions. It calculates the U values of simple building assemblies, window frames and façade elements. It also calculates the Psi values of the aforementioned constructions. It is also suitable for calculating the minimum surface temperature for the assessment of the risk of mould and condensation.
- flixo frame
Suitable for developers and manufacturers of window frames. It calculates automatically the frame U value (Uf) and offers the possibility of quick exporting result reports. It also offers the possibility of automatic materialization and division of air cavities according to the provisions of the standard EN ISO 10077-2.
- flixo energy
Suitable for architects, designers and building physicists. It calculates the U value and Psi value of simple building assemblies. It is also suitable for calculating the minimum surface temperature for the assessment of the risk of mould and condensation.
